“The vast majority of UK local authorities have declared a climate emergency; it is critical to take action and drive impact during what the UN is calling the decisive decade. This collaboration will help Anthesis in its goal to deliver sustainable performance across the country, enabling cities to become more resilient in the future.”

Anthesis has renewed its partnership with CDP, the non-profit which runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions. Anthesis became CDP’s first UK Cities Accredited Solutions Provider in 2021.
Anthesis’ market-leading expertise on sustainability and local authorities will continue to provide support to UK cities in aligning their sustainability goals to the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The ongoing partnership will support cities to track, set, and deliver on the necessary ambitions to tackle the climate emergency. Anthesis will engage with the CDP network on a range of topics, including mitigation, adaptation, and resiliency, providing professional advice on monitoring and reporting, governance, increasing transparency, and tracking progress on sustainability goals.
“I am delighted that Anthesis have renewed their partnership with CDP as a silver cities consultancy accredited solutions provider in UK. Their use of industry leading tools such as SCATTER and consultancy services empower cities to reduce emissions, enable a just transition, reduce the impacts of climate change.”
Maia Kutner – Associate Director of Cities, States and Regions at CDP.
Anthesis’ SCATTER tool is already an established resource for local councils reporting to CDP, providing local authorities with free access to assess, report on, and reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that their borough produces. SCATTER helps generate a greenhouse gas inventory and has helped more than 300 local authorities to date understand and develop strategies to reduce emissions. This year, Anthesis has been funded by BEIS to develop a number of updates to the tool to improve its functionally.
Anthesis is now helping local authorities understand how to monitor and report on progress towards their Net Zero ambitions through tailored support, including the development of a climate action monitoring dashboard.
