Summary of role:

The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 years of experience in Transaction and Corporate Services as a broad area, with specific focus on Environmental and ESG due diligence work in the M&A sector with emphasis on Sustainability assessment, planning and strategy. Experience in multi-site and multinational M&A transactions or provision of corporate level sustainability services is required. The candidate will act as project delivery lead, managing and taking direct part in the assignments, with direct interaction with Clients and third parties (e.g. lawyers, advisors, vendor/buyer, regulators) and implies strong soft skills (e.g. negotiation, communication, strategic vision) and capabilities in problem solving and sustainable solutions finding.

The role will actively supports the development of new services and clients.

The Associate Director will work with the Anthesis Director and will be expected to contribute to the leadership of the company through direct involvement in strategic planning, recruitment, key account management, identification of opportunities and delivery of projects. The role will include close interaction with global colleagues and the development of new service lines in the German business.

The role may require work trips across the country and occasionally abroad.

Requirements

  • Native or fluent in German and English;
  • University Degree, background and education in one of the following sectors: engineering; environmental sciences; environmental economy, geology, environmental law;
  • At least 10 years of experience in environmental and ESG due diligence in the M&A sector and Sustainability assessment, planning, strategy, for financial, legal and industrial clients;
  • Strong track record regarding project delivery and client management
