Requirements and skills

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in writing B2B press releases
  • Proven relationships with UK nationals, business and sustainability press
  • Ideally an understanding of the media landscape in other regions, in particular North America
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience of working in PR, in a related industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with a range of stakeholders
  • A self‐motivated team player who can act independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work both globally and remotely
  • Highly motivated and organised
  • Exceptional eye for detail
  • Excellent prioritisation skills
  • A keen interest in sustainability

We are looking for a dynamic PR Manager to take our media relations and content strategy to the next level, and to support Anthesis’ ambitious growth strategy. The role will drive Anthesis’ messaging externally, ensuring our differentiation is clearly communicated to the press and other stakeholders. The role suits an individual with an inquisitive mind, a can-do attitude and a natural hunger for achieving positive coverage. While the role is based in the UK, the successful candidate will support our business globally, working with Marketing Managers and consultants across the business.

The established and dynamic Marketing team is led by Global Head of Marketing and Communications, Kirsten Doddy, who this role will report into. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with the media and a proven track record of achieving strong results and influencing discussions on relevant topics.

Your responsibilities

  • Full responsibility of the Anthesis press office, including tracking and managing forward features, developing proactive pitches based on the ever-changing news agenda, and managing and nurturing our relationships with journalists
  • Write and edit high quality press releases, driving the process through to journalist follow-up
  • Take a proactive lead on our content strategy across podcasts, case studies, testimonials, and other materials
  • Analyse competitor announcements and developing strategies based on claims
  • Support on Partner and Product launches
  • Monitor incoming opportunities for external features such as on Response Source
  • Manage our award submissions programme and seek out speaker opportunities for our experts
  • Draft the internal newsletter, including Anthesis news and Industry news
