Key Responsibilities:
- Working on Italian and/or international projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary and multinational teams;
- Delivering business value to our clients and effectively communicating key sustainability messages;
- Undertaking project related research; collecting and analysing data; engaging with a range of stakeholders;
- Drafting technical reports and documents; and providing support in the preparation of content for proposals and marketing content;
- Engaging directly with clients as part of a project team, participating in client projects and proposals and delivering tasks on time and within budget, as well as assisting project managers to ensure that projects perform against targets and deadlines;
- Learning and developing your technical expertise, supported by our technical directors across the sustainability teams;
- We are not expecting candidates to have extensive experience in the areas of focus, rather to show a broad understanding of key relevant sustainability topics along with great potential to succeed as activators for our clients.

Summary of role:
Anthesis offers a wide range of strategic technical analytics services across Italy and internationally, focusing on innovation and delivery of real business value. We are seeking a motivated, forward-looking, and smart-thinking individual to join our Company teams working on M&A ESHS due diligence, ESG due diligence as well as national and international permitting and EHS compliance assignments, both in Italy and abroad. The ideal candidate possesses 1-3 years of working experience in environmental and/or sustainability consultancy companies. Knowledge and familiarity with standards (e.g. ASTM, IFC/WB) and Italian national regulation is preferred. The candidate will be based in Italy, working with the Italian and broader EU teams on projects for clients themselves based in Italy and worldwide and supported by a large team of experts both in the UK and the EU and across our global teams.
This is a delivery role, engaging directly with the market to support our clients in successfully achieving their sustainability ambitions. It will involve collaborating with global Anthesis sustainability experts and with other Technical Consultants not only to deliver great projects but also to support in developing new innovative ways of approaching analytics.
Key Requirements:
- Native speaker in Italian and/or English; professional level proficiency in other languages is a plus;
- 1-3 years’ experience in environmental, health and safety and/or ESG and Sustainability.
- Strong communication and consulting skills; particularly an understanding of the sustainability challenges that
- organisations face in today’s climate, and showing potential for developing consulting skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills. Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment;
- University degree and education in scientific/technical disciplines (Engineering, Math, Physics, Chemistry privileged);
- Previous background in (and passion for) sustainability-related topics, with a preference for environmental, health and safety;
- University degree and education in environmental engineering; environmental sciences; chemistry;
- Organised, methodical and analytical;
- Work well with a wide range of people on a global basis;
- Curious, globally minded and enthusiastic;
- Proactive with the ability and confidence to take initiative;
- Effective time management and organisational skills;
- Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment.
