Role: Junior Consultant – Agrifood
Location: Flexibly remote from one of our UK hubs (Bristol, Edinburgh, Harrogate, London, Manchester or Oxford)
Contract: Full-time
Remuneration Range: Competitive
Key responsibilities:
- Work on one of our key retail accounts, creating supply chain awareness of their strategy, ensuring suppliers are informed, engaged, and empowered to deliver sustainable value
- Develop strong rapport with key client teams, acting as a trusted advisor on major sustainability topics
- Identify shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration across the supply-base
- Share best practice guidance, case studies, blogs and examples of sustainable solutions illustrating their practicality and ease of implementation for suppliers
- Gain insight from the client organisation, and its supply chain, on how the supplier engagement programme can be improved, map feedback/insight trends and prioritise feedback to present to the client and develop ideas with the programme management team
- Manage content on the clients online platform – ensure an up-to-date repository of best practice materials is available to the client and their supply chains, and develop metrics to track the benefits of the platform.
- Support others in the agrifood team on wider projects where required

Summary of role:
Our agrifood team support global food and beverage clients set and implement commercially focused sustainability strategies across their value chains. Our team of agrifood experts tackle complex challenges ranging from food loss and waste, carbon emissions, water resilience, soil health, deforestation, biodiversity and human rights; often working with our Digital team to develop decision support tools that support businesses evidence impact and measure progress towards their sustainability goals.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on one of our key retail clients, as well as supporting additional projects across our food and beverage client base. With the delivery of projects across themes such as regenerative agriculture, food loss and waste, calculating scope 3 emissions and human rights.
Using their strengths in project management and experience of the agri-food sector, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their consultancy skills in a motivated and supportive environment.
Key requirements:
- A high-level understanding of the agrifood sector and key supply chain issues facing retailers
- Supplier facing experience
- Technical experience of working in complex supply chains
- Ability to make decisions quickly in a fast-moving environment
- Project management to ensure tasks are completed on time
- Proactive in taking the initiative
- Ability to convey technical information in an engaging and useful way to non-technical audiences
- Experience of high-level engagement within companies (leading projects and working directly with directors and senior members of staff)
- University degree in relevant area and more than a year of demonstrable supply chain and/or sustainability experience
