Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake project-related research, collect and analyze data, and engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Draft reports and presentations that convey key messages and inform strategic decision-making
  • Deliver tasks on time and within budget and assist project managers to ensure that projects perform against targets and deadlines
  • Work on several projects at the same time, typically for different clients on different topics
  • Be part of global project teams with colleagues in different offices and time zones

We are looking for a Consultant to support our growing Analytics team, which supports Anthesis’ global offerings by bringing innovative sustainability solutions to market. As part of the Analytics team, your role will include analyzing sustainability data, quantifying environmental footprints, developing data solutions and models, and supporting our corporate clients’ needs related to environmental sustainability strategy, goal setting, impact reduction and reporting.

You may work remotely or from any of our offices (Boston, Boulder, Ottawa, San Francisco) in North America.

Requirements

The ideal applicant must be able to demonstrate excellent quantitative and technical skills, an entrepreneurial attitude, and be highly motivated, in addition to the following minimum qualifications:

  • Ideally 1-2 years experience in LCA or carbon accounting (if holding a Masters, work experience not needed)

  • BA/BSc. degree in mathematics, engineering, science, economics or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in analyzing and manipulating data in Excel; intermediate Excel knowledge required

Desirable skills

  • Familiarity with the Science-based Targets initiative
  • Knowledge of life cycle accounting
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g. CDP, DJSI, GRI, corporate sustainability reports)
  • Experience and proficiency with Tableau and/or other data science applications

Personal attributes and qualities

  • Previous background or passion for sustainability
  • Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment
  • Able to work on virtual teams across different time zones
