People & Development Lead

Role: People & Development Lead

Location: Boulder, Colorado - hybrid schedule - onsite/remote

Practice Area: Business Support

Contract: Full-time

Remuneration Range: $120,000 - 150,000 USD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to talent acquisition, retention and development.
  • Act as a sounding board for the NA CEO and her direct reports
  • Be part of and contribute to the global People and Development leadership team
  • Support and contribute to the development of global people practices to the extent relevant to the North American business.
  • Report on people practices, processes, training, initiatives, employee relations matters and surveys to support Anthesis’s people strategy in North America and compliance needs.
  • Report and mitigate risks associated with employee relations issues.
  • Administer and oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, vacation, and other leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety.
  • Identify Anthesis North America staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management aligned with Anthesis principles and approach.
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s systems and databases.
  • Be a coach and confidante to colleagues in the business and the People & Development function when dealing with change and business challenges.
  • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify existing policies and practices to maintain compliance; create new policies or guidelines as needed in collaboration with global colleagues where applicable.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Develop and implement the People & Development functional budget for North America in line with regional business and global needs.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for North American P&D staff.
  • Lead and develop People and Development Business Partners.
  • Support the development and implementation of Anthesis North America’s JEDIA strategy,
  • Collaborate with Group compensation lead on pay equity assessments and general compensation activities e.g.,salary reviews
  • Perform other duties related to your role as required.

Summary of Role:

The NA People and Development Lead will work closely with the North American leadership team and Group Chief People Officer to develop and implement the strategy for talent attraction, acquisition, and retention for Anthesis North America, in line with the Anthesis employee value proposition. The role will also be accountable for ensuring compliance with all employee related laws and regulations in the US and Canada for Anthesis.

Knowledge, Skills & Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • At least seven years of human resource management experience in a fast-growing people-oriented business. Experience in a professional services firm advantageous.
  • Experience of working within a global function whilst supporting US and Canadian businesses.
  • Understanding of and experience of working with a remote workforce.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
