Location: Any office. Anthesis offices are in London, Bristol, Manchester & Oxford.

Contract: Full Time

Summary of role

We are seeking a Principal Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) consultant. They will join our Global Centre of Excellence for Analytics and run a team of analysts specialising in LCA. Analysts provide the data, and calculations associated consultancy which underpin our clients’ sustainability activity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Performing complex LCAs in the context of wide-ranging projects
  • Performing detailed calculations to find material flows, greenhouse gas emissions, ecological footprints and other environmental, economic and social metrics, as may be required
  • Delivering business value to our clients
  • Project, client and line management
  • Build expertise in the team through mentoring and training
  • Technical research and results dissemination
  • Business development, including proposal writing
  • Quality assurance



  • 5+ years’ experience in delivering complex LCAs within different markets
  • Excellent analytical skills applying various LCA software. We would expect extensive experience in one of the main tools including GaBi, openLCA or SimaPro etc. and advanced competency in Microsoft Excel
  • 1st Class or 2:1 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) Bachelors/Master’s Degree
  • Demonstrable client management and business development skills
  • Strong communication and consulting skills
  • Project management skills: ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and to client expectations

  • Curious, globally minded and enthusiastic
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to stick to deadlines and clarity on the need for prioritisation.
  • Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment
  • Work well with a wide range of people on a global basis
