Product Owner

Role: Product Owner

Location: Flexibly remote from one of our UK hubs (Bristol, Edinburgh, Harrogate, London, Manchester or Oxford)

Contract: Full-time

Remuneration Range: Competitive

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end launch of Software as a Service (SaaS) products – driving products and features from concept to launch.
  • Collaborates with clients and Anthesis technical team to co-develop the product vision, product roadmap, key features and development prioritisation.
  • Requirements gathering from target users, product owner, client and other stakeholders.
  • Create user personas, user stories, epics, site maps and workflows based on these requirements.
  • Works with Anthesis technical team, including technical lead, scrum master, software developers, design/user experience.
  • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the project needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
  • Develops, owns, and executes product roadmap.
  • Work with the Anthesis technical team to translate product roadmap features and client functional specifications into well-defined technical specifications.
  • Where required, support clients develop functional specifications (including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria).
  • Work with UX designer to define the user experience and support for customers.
  • Leads the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology.
  • Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product development performance to evaluate project priorities.

Summary of role:

You will be a key part of the software team, providing support to ensure that all projects run smoothly and without a hitch! You will work collaboratively with client managers as well as tech and creative teams, managing complex development projects around web builds, integration and fulfilment whilst offering superb client management and ongoing support.

Key requirements:

  • Degree level educated in a relevant subject or proven industry experience in digital project management.
  • 3+ years’ relevant work experience
  • Be able to clearly communicate ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Know how to interpret user research
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, Agile environment managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Hands-on approach to problem-solving and ensuring that things keep running smoothly
  • A high level of concentration and resilience to stay focused on a project to the end and meet a client deadline
  • An open, flexible and adaptable mindset to cope with a rapidly changing set of tasks
  • The ability to relate well to other professionals and work in a specialist team
  • A willingness to keep up to date with software applications and new techniques in a rapidly changing profession
  • Also desirable: the ability to sketch out a range of visual concepts both on paper and using software applications (e.g. wireframes, screen mock-ups, workflows) to test user interfaces/the user experience and turn concepts into user-centred services
