Role: Senior / Principal Consultant – LCA Analyst

Location: Flexibly remote from one of our UK hubs (Bristol, Edinburgh, Harrogate, London, Manchester or Oxford)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing complex LCAs in the context of wide-ranging projects
  • Performing detailed calculations to find material flows, greenhouse gas emissions, ecological footprints and other environmental, economic and social metrics, as may be required
  • Delivering business value to our clients
  • Project, client and line management
  • Build expertise in the team through mentoring and training
  • Technical research and results dissemination
  • Write proposals for new business, in collaboration with the existing team
  • Be independent in engaging with a wide variety of clients, often in senior roles within their business.
  • You will be writing technical reports, drawing on expertise from across the wider team, and rest of the business.
  • Attend client meetings, where necessary, for the development of opportunities and project delivery.

Summary of Role:

We are seeking a Senior Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Consultant. They will join our Global Centre of Excellence for Analytics and work with a team of analysts specialising in sustainable products and circularity.

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent project management and some team leadership
  • Excellent analytical skills applying various LCA software. We would expect extensive experience in one of the main tools including GaBi, openLCA or SimaPro etc. and advanced competency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong numeracy with comfortable use of modeling and data manipulation tools
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in delivering LCA projects either in-house or in a consultancy environment
  • A passion and success in delighting clients, preferably within a corporate context while challenging them to deliver maximum sustainability impact.
  • Strong communication and consulting skills; particularly an understanding of the sustainability challenges that organisations face in today’s climate.
  • Active and encouraging team player that celebrates and applied the diversity of skills and personalities in a team.
  • Driven to deliver a positive sustainability impact;
  • Previous background or passion for additional sustainability specialism preferred;
  • Curious, globally minded and enthusiastic;
  • Effective time management and organisational skills. Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment;
  • Work well with a wide range of people on a global basis.
