Summary of Role

We are looking for a Senior Level Consultant to support our growing Analytics team, which deploys powerful and agile analytics to generate insight and inform the design and implementation of sustainability solutions. Your role will be client-facing and combine data analytics and project management, while addressing diverse client needs related to corporate and product sustainability, including environmental footprinting, strategy development, goal setting, impact reduction and reporting. You will work with Anthesis sustainability experts from around the world to both grow your own competencies and drive the development of market-leading approaches to activating sustainability within our clients.

Your projects and clients will span multiple industries, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to boutique brands, and require engagement with clients, and their suppliers, around the world.

You may work remotely from a North American location. Anthesis has offices in Boston, Boulder, Ottawa and San Francisco.

Responsibilities

 Project Management and Delivery:

  • Create dynamic and innovative analytics-driven deliverables, including dashboards, tools, and reports, drawing on expertise from colleagues in N. America and beyond
  • Excel in identifying and addressing client challenges
  • Cultivate successful client relationships
  • Communicate complex technical ideas and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Profitably manage projects on time and to client satisfaction, and help oversee project planning, including project scope, budget, and timeline
  • Lead sub-project teams, as required

 

Product and Service Development:

  • With support from senior staff, implement business development efforts, including via drafting proposals and identifying revenue opportunities with new or existing clients
  • Actively demonstrate thought leadership by, for example, presenting at conferences and webinars, writing blogs and white papers, or participating in industry forums, etc.
  • Work with the Analytics team to further the development of Anthesis’ innovative offerings
  • Support delivery assurance by participating in periodic project reviews and audits and maintaining accurate and timely project reporting
  • With support from senior staff, expand technical and consulting skills, while mentoring junior staff

 

Requirements

The ideal applicant must be able to demonstrate excellent quantitative and technical skills, an entrepreneurial attitude, and be highly motivated, in addition to the following minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BSc. degree in mathematics, engineering, science, economics or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience (a master’s degree may substitute for two years’ experience)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Significant experience analyzing product and/or corporate sustainability data, either in-house or for a consultancy
  • Experience in analyzing and manipulating data using Excel and data science applications; intermediate Excel knowledge required
  • Strong communication and consulting skills

 

Desirable skills and knowledge

  • Experience in conducting life cycle assessments
  • Experience in developing corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, including of scope 3 emissions
  • Experience in developing science-based targets and familiarity with the Science-based Targets initiative
  • Sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g. CDP, DJSI, GRI, corporate sustainability reports)
