Senior/Principal Consultant – Green Design Lead

Role: Senior/Principal Consultant – Green Design Lead

Location: Flexibly remote from one of our UK hubs (Bristol, Edinburgh, Harrogate, London, Manchester or Oxford)

Contract: Full-time

Remuneration Range: Competitive

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the Program Director and Technical Lead to shape and develop the Green Design solution and growth plan
  • Lead the relationship with some of the world’s largest companies to understand their sustainability priorities and what behaviour they want to encourage in their designers – using this to develop methods to scorecard products and give them the information to improve their products.
  • Support the Program Director on business development, including proposal writing.
  • Project and client leadership responsibilities and line management expected.
  • Be at the forefront of solution development, aligning to clients evolving needs in product footprinting.
  • Working closely with our software partner Footprinter (San Francisco) to design, configure, roll-out and maintain client’s tools.

Summary of role:

We are seeking a Senior/Principal Consultant for our high growth Green Design program. They will join our team specialising in product score-carding using LCA approaches and other methods to support clients like PepsiCo, Reckitt, and Britvic with sustainable product innovation. The program has seen great success and interest from the sustainability community, and we have bold ambitions to build on the momentum to grow our reach and influence in this important arena of scope 3 reduction. Joining the team in this role provides a great opportunity to work directly with the Program Director to shape our product footprinting solutions; a key growth opportunity for Anthesis.

Key requirements:

  • Excellent client and project leadership skills, with the confidence to own and develop trusted working relationships.
  • Would expect at least 3-years’ experience in product innovation OR leadership/ownership of SaaS deployments, consumer goods preferred.
  • Effective commercial skills, from understanding client needs, translating into compelling proposals, close and facilitate the delivery.
  • Project management skills: ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and to client expectations.
  • Experience in packaging, FMCG, or Food & Beverage sector preferred.
  • Relevant Bachelors/Master’s Degree.
  • Team player who collaborates well, with effective communication and project team leadership.
