Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in sustainability, sustainable finance and/or sustainable investing
  • Understanding of experience in one or more of the following: responsible lending and investment, impact investing, ESG integration, sustainable and green finance, climate risk, sustainability strategy, implementation and reporting.
  • Good knowledge of industry regulations and governing laws would be beneficial
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills, both written and oral

Summary of Role:

Anthesis is continuing to build its sustainable finance consulting team across the UK and EU. Our team works and supports banking, asset and fund management and insurance companies to address challenges around the sustainable finance agenda. From helping funds to address sustainability issues globally to supporting banks with their sustainable lending programs to supporting bank clients on their journey to net zero, Anthesis is looking to strengthen its positioning in the financial sector. We are looking for someone to complement our team.

At Anthesis we expect a consultant in sustainable finance to ensure the delivery of high-quality consultancy advice to clients on sustainability topics in the financial services sector. You will be fully responsible for the development and management of sustainable finance proposals and for the implementation of projects. You will provide organizational and technical guidance to the project teams and act as the main point of contact for the client. You will co-ordinate with other members of the Anthesis family to bring subject-matter expertise to the client to respond to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in the development and implementation of their strategic ESG and sustainable finance initiatives, whether strategy, KPI setting, lending, operations, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, data etc.
  • Manage and supervise consulting projects throughout their entire cycle: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure
  • Plan and implement projects in response to RFPs and client discussions
  • Develop proposals and generate own leads, actively contributing to the business development activities of Anthesis
  • Provide guidance and technical leadership in the development of proposals for the financial sector on topics related to GHG accounting of investments and lending and implementation of advisory projects
