Anthesis understands the issues associated with developments in both green and brownfield areas; and can undertake comprehensive baseline biodiversity investigations and detailed ecological impact assessments to identify the nature and extent of these impacts. We can help you to develop mitigation and compensation strategies to ensure that ecological impacts are avoided or reduced to within acceptable limits.
We develop Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs) in accordance with World Bank Standards and the Equator Principles. These EcIAs can be seamlessly integrated into Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, (ESIAs) and our team prides itself in the ability to develop new and innovative mitigation measures for potential impacts, which originates from a detailed understanding of both the ecology of the area and the planned developments.
Our ecological services in the Middle East are led by our Principal Ecologist, Adrian Hudson. He has over 25 years’ experience in conservation and ecological consulting, with the last 12 years being devoted exclusively to ecological consulting. Adrian has conducted ecological and associated studies on more than 140 projects in over 25 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe and South America.
