Technical Director, North America

Sophia is a Technical Director with 20 years of experience in Design for Environment and Sustainability and Energy consulting. She has collaborated with design and engineering teams to influence, incorporate and address environmental issues in products–both within a corporate R&D group and as a consultant.

She has extensive experience and expertise working with Global 100 and Fortune 500 companies to calculate and report their global carbon and water inventories and develop renewable energy and science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets. She works with clients to develop data collection processes, implement enterprise systems, and report results to internal and external stakeholders, including CDP and DJSI responses, and sustainability reports. She supports clients to develop their internal price on carbon programs and evaluate impacts of transitions to renewable fuels. She also embraces the development of GHG accounting on emerging topics, such as teleworking emissions and market-based accounting across Scope 2 and 3 categories.

Sophia is one of the original members of the founding Anthesis team in 2013 and the Anthesis North America Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team. She is passionate about changing the world in a sustainable and equitable manner.
