Valerie Presolly

Valerie Presolly is an Associate Director at Anthesis North America, where she supports companies across different sectors in setting and implementing ambitious sustainability goals, including science-based targets. Valerie is a sustainability expert with fifteen years of experience at the intersection of sustainability and business. Her experience spans apparel, outdoor, retail and consumer goods. Valerie has defined, designed, and delivered sustainability strategy and its implementation for start-ups and mature businesses alike, and leverages her expertise to help companies make meaningful progress along their sustainability journey.

Prior to joining Anthesis, Valerie headed up Sustainability, Environmental Health & Safety, as well as Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at Rubicon Organics, an organic cannabis producer. At Rubicon Organics, she developed the company’s inaugural sustainability strategy and ESG report – a first in the cannabis industry. Before that, Valerie spent nine years leading Sustainability at MEC, Canada’s leading outdoor retailer and brand. At MEC, Valerie worked to embed sustainability into all core areas of the company, landing MEC the title of Canada’s most trusted business five years running.

Valerie has an MBA with a focus on strategy and sustainability from the University of British Columbia and an undergraduate degree in international business from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
