Anthesis Group has partnered with MyEasyFarm, a leading regenerative AgTech startup, to help accelerate the digital transformation of AgriCarbon, Anthesis’ flagship carbon farming programme in South Africa. Anthesis works with organisations worldwide to drive sustainable performance through strategic guidance, data-driven solutions, and climate impact implementation.

AgriCarbon is the first African project, and the second worldwide, to be certified under Verra’s VM0042 Agricultural Land Management methodology.

Scaling carbon farming through digital innovation

Agriculture is under increasing pressure to reduce emissions, improve soil health, and strengthen climate resilience. To help address these challenges, AgriCarbon supports farmers in adopting regenerative land management practices and generating high-integrity carbon credits.

Since its inception in 2021, AgriCarbon has issued 39,207 tonnes of carbon credits, driven by the sustainable agricultural practices implemented by 29 farmers over 17,582 hectares. Supported by 70,000 unique data points collected during the initial three-year monitoring period, this achievement highlights AgriCarbon’s role as a regional leader in climate-smart farming.

As part of this collaboration, MyEasyFarm has introduced its MyEasyCarbon platform to assist with data management, monitoring, reporting, and verification processes within AgriCarbon. The digital system will improve how farmers and stakeholders record practice changes and meet the requirements of the VM0042 methodology.

Advancing accessibility and confidence in carbon farming

By combining MyEasyFarm’s digital capabilities with AgriCarbon’s established regenerative agriculture framework, the partnership will support consistent data quality, smoother programme participation and increased confidence in the carbon credits generated. With more than 200,000 hectares already enrolled, AgriCarbon is positioned for significant growth as additional farmers transition to regenerative practices.

MyEasyFarm is an AgTech company specialising in regenerative agriculture, carbon farming and precision agriculture solutions. Its MyEasyCarbon platform was originally developed to support France’s Label Bas Carbone for arable crops and became the first MRV solution certified by Bureau Veritas auditors in 2022. By mid-2024, it had supported more than 300 farms in reducing and certifying 230,000 tonnes of CO2e.
