Anthesis Group, the world’s largest group of dedicated sustainability professionals and certified B Corp, has appointed strategic communications expert Lucy Gugen to lead its Strategic & Impact Communications solution. Anthesis has expanded its communication capabilities in response to the changing landscape concerning climate litigation, the rise in greenwashing and ESG misrepresentation and recognising the risk and opportunity of effective and authentic communications for clients to define and articulate their impact.
Lucy has previously held leadership roles at advisory and communications firms Freuds and Brunswick, as well as acting as an advisor to former UK Prime Minister David Cameron, and as a Director of COP26 at the World Council for Sustainable Business Development. She has advised companies including BlackRock, UBS, Mars, EY, and Syngenta, and her experience across FMCG, financial services, pharma, telecoms, and energy sectors align strongly with Anthesis’ broad and global client base, which includes 25% of the FTSE 100.
Lucy will combine her 18 years of experience across politics, business and civil society, advising leaders and companies on how to deliver lasting organisational and reputational change with the scientific depth of knowledge rooted in Anthesis’ 1,100 experts to empower clients to navigate the communications minefield of reputation and regulatory risks.
