
Anthesis, the global sustainability and solutions provider, has appointed Lori Michelin to its board as Non-Executive Director.
With a wealth of experience and a proven track record in corporate social responsibility and sustainability, environmental, health and safety, and supply chain, Lori spent most of her career with Colgate-Palmolive and is currently the president and CEO of the World Environment Center.
As president and CEO of the World Environment Center, Lori oversees its world-recognised programs and strategic mission to advance sustainable development and corporate sustainability in partnership with governments, multilateral organisations, the private sector and other stakeholders.
During her 22-year tenure at Colgate-Palmolive Company Lori held several senior roles including most recently Vice President of Sustainability and EHS from 2014-2017. In this role Lori was responsible for the development and implementation of the global sustainability strategy and the company’s EHS programs and performance.
Lori led Colgate-Palmolive’s sustainability reporting, disclosure and stakeholder engagement activities, achieving inclusion in DJSI World Index, CDP A-List Climate and CDP A-List Water. She also established global strategies and policies relating to climate change, deforestation, water stewardship, waste management, product sustainability and human rights.
In addition, Lori achieved leadership positions on sustainable buildings and operational efficiency that saved over $500 million in costs since 2011. Lori also served as VP EHS & Product Sustainability (2012 – 2104), Worldwide Director EHS (2010-2012), Director of Manufacturing (2008 – 2012) and Director Supply Chain Strategy & Performance (2006 – 2008).

Lori Michelin is also the vice-chair of the board of directors of the EcoHealth Alliance and a member of the Penn State, Smeal College of Business Sustainability Advisory Board. Lori is a former member of the Closed Loop Fund Advisory Board, the World Resources Institute Corporate Consultative Advisory Board, the Consumer Goods Forum Sustainability Steering Team, The Sustainability Consortium, Sustainability 50, and the Conference Board EHS Leaders Group.
Lori received her Master of Science in civil engineering from Villanova University and holds a degree in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
