Situation
Our client is one of the largest ICT companies in Australia and New Zealand, with a global footprint and an ambition to achieve net zero value chain emissions by 2040. Having partnered with Anthesis for NGER reporting support, the organisation was preparing for its obligations as a Group 1 reporter under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS).
To support mandatory climate-related disclosures, the client engaged Anthesis to establish a Scope 3 emissions inventory, strengthen emissions data management and build a foundation for future reporting and assurance requirements.
Solution
Anthesis transformed the client’s carbon inventory from a spreadsheet-based process into the Anthesis Intelligence platform, improving data quality, traceability and reporting efficiency. Customised data structures, including National Metering Identifiers (NMIs), strengthened data integrity, while source documentation was captured to support auditability and future reporting. Anthesis also ensured alignment with NGER requirements and supported the successful submission of emissions data to the Clean Energy Regulator.
