The EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is live, impacting EU importers and non-EU exporters of products containing aluminium, cement, steel, and more. The EU established the regulation to prevent carbon-intensive imports from undermining its climate objectives and to encourage the adoption of cleaner production practices.
Organisations must begin to gather data and prepare quarterly reports to the CBAM authority on the volume of in-scope goods imported to the EU, as well as the embedded GHG emissions in those goods, and the carbon price paid on those emissions.
This webinar explored:
- How CBAM works in practice, including the key requirements, deadlines, and actions required to comply.
- How the requirements are different for EU importers vs non-EU exporters.
- How CBAM will drive decarbonisation globally.
- How you can leverage the EU CBAM to drive your organisation’s decarbonisation efforts.
- Industry best practices for reducing your carbon footprint and staying ahead of evolving regulations.
