Caroline Gaudreault

Caroline Gaudreault is a recognized expert in life cycle assessment (LCA), with over 20 years of experience applying LCA and carbon accounting methodologies to complex industrial systems. As Global LCA and Impact Metrics Lead at Anthesis Group, she guides the development and implementation of advanced LCA strategies, helping organizations quantify environmental impacts and make data-driven decisions.

Before joining Anthesis, Caroline spent 13 years at the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement (NCASI), where she led LCA, GHG inventory, and biomass carbon modeling projects as Program Manager for Sustainable Manufacturing and Climate. Her work supported companies and industry associations across the forest products value chain.

Caroline has contributed to several international initiatives shaping best practices in LCA and carbon accounting, including the WRI/WBCSD Product Carbon Footprint Standard and the Land Use, Carbon Removals and Bioenergy Guidelines. She is a technical resource for the Forest Solutions Group of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and serves as editor for the pulp and paper section of the ecoinvent database. Her expertise has also supported technical publications for the FAO and IEA.

She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and is known for her scientific rigor, technical leadership, and commitment to advancing the role of LCA in environmental strategy.
