Dutch Flower Group Sets Science-Based Targets to Drive Sustainable Growth

The situation

As a global leader in the floriculture sector, Dutch Flower Group (DFG) wanted to align its sustainability ambitions with international climate goals.

The company recognised the need to formalise its greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction strategy through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), ensuring its IMPACT25 strategy reflects science-based climate action.

Our solutions

With support from Climate Neutral Group, part of Anthesis company, DFG has signed the SBTi Commitment Letter and begun developing comprehensive Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions inventories.

Anthesis consultants are working with DFG to define and set validated reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement, helping the Group and its network of companies transition towards a low-carbon future.

Impacts

This collaboration positions DFG as a frontrunner in sustainability within the floriculture industry. By setting science-based targets, the company is embedding measurable climate action into its strategy and supply chain — contributing to the global effort to halve emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050.

I am looking forward to working together with Climate Neutral Group, and with the DFG companies, CSR Ambassadors and our suppliers. Cooperation is key in achieving the necessary CO₂ reductions to make the world a more sustainable place.
