The GHG Protocol is releasing the long-awaited final Land Sector and Removals Standard on 30 January. The Standard will be followed up by a Technical Guidance document in Q2, 2026. This finalisation marks a significant step forward in how organisations account for land-based emissions and removals – a critical area as climate action increasingly converges with nature outcomes.

In this webinar, Anthesis experts will unpack what’s changed, why it matters, and how organisations should start preparing. We’ll explore the implications for corporate GHG inventories, land-use strategies, and nature-positive climate action, helping you understand how to align reporting, targets and decision-making with the latest best practice.

As expectations around transparency, integrity and impact continue to rise, this session will help you navigate evolving standards with confidence – and ensure your climate strategy supports both emissions reduction and nature recovery.

During the webinar, we will explore:

  • What’s new in the GHG Land Sector and Removals Standard update
  • How the changes affect GHG accounting, reporting, and target-setting
  • Implications for land use, AFOLU, carbon removals, and nature-based solutions
  • How climate and nature considerations are increasingly interconnected in corporate strategies
  • Practical steps organisations can take now to prepare for the updated guidance
  • Register now to stay ahead of the latest GHG Protocol updates and understand what they mean for your climate and nature strategy.
