Agneta Persson

Agneta is Technical Director of Anthesis Sweden and is a leading expert in sustainable energy systems, energy efficiency, low energy buildings, technology procurement, demand-side management and market transformation, with almost 40 years of experience in energy and environmental issues. She is a pioneer in the technology procurement area, having developed, managed and implemented several Swedish and European projects in this field.

During the last 15 years, Agneta has also been involved in and managed several inter-disciplinary urban development projects in Sollentuna, Stockholm (the Royal Seaport), Lund, Helsingborg, Uppsala and Malmö in Sweden, Sibbesborg in Finland, and Melbourne in Australia. She has also managed many sustainable energy efficiency and climate mitigation projects. One of these projects was the implementation of the EU directive on energy services and developing the first national energy efficiency action plan (NEEAP), an 18-month assignment for the Swedish Government.

Agneta is a Civil Engineer, with a degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg. With more than 100 written reports under her belt, Agneta is a frequent lecturer and moderator at Swedish and European conferences. She is also the President of the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (eceee).
