Date: Tuesday March 3rd, 2026
Time: 12pm – 12.45pm (AEDT)

The GHG Protocol has released the final Land Sector and Removals Standard – a major milestone that will inform corporate or organisational GHG accounting and reporting by any company with significant land sector, or Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) activities in its operations or value chain. With expectations on transparency and data quality rising, organisations should start preparing now to meet the new requirements with confidence.

  • New requirements under the Land Sector and Removals Standard
  • How this standard affects GHG accounting, reporting, and target setting for companies with land-intensive operations and value chains
  • What this means in practice for Scope 3 emissions reporting under ASRS and AASB S2
  • Implications for accounting of carbon removals, and nature-based solutions
  • Implications for SBTi FLAG accounting and target setting for including for those companies currently using the 2022 draft guidance
  • How climate and nature considerations are becoming more integrated in corporate strategy
