Expertise
Josh Hendry is a Director in Anthesis Group’s Circularity & Value Chain Transformation practice and a member of its North American leadership team. He leads Anthesis’ Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) managed services and the rollout of its digital product sustainability assessment capabilities, with a mission to scale portfolio‑wide LCA and Product Carbon Footprinting to support sustainable design, transparent reporting, and the continued growth of Anthesis as a global leader in sustainable performance.
Leveraging more than 20 years of sustainability consulting experience, Josh is responsible for developing and operationalizing methodologies, directing multidisciplinary teams, and bridging strategic and technical workstreams to deliver practical, scalable solutions. His work cuts across multiple sectors, supporting both materials‑producing industries and B2B value chains—including metals, chemicals, and specialty materials—while also bringing deep materials expertise to downstream clients in product manufacturing, technology, and retail. He has led major initiatives, including developing and implementing portfolio sustainability assessment methodologies for leading chemical manufacturers and a multi‑year LCA harmonization effort for the mining and metals industry.
Before joining Anthesis, Josh served as the North American Mining & Metals Sector Lead at Thinkstep (now part of Sphera), where he supported global industrial clients in advancing lifecycle‑based product and corporate strategies. He also served as Chair of the Board for the Ottawa Eco Talent Network, a non-profit focused on enabling pro-bono sustainability consulting for Ottawa-based charities, non-profits, and community organizations.
