Science Based Targets

Zara leads the UK service line for GHG and Net Zero at Anthesis. Her work supports clients through all stages of their Net Zero journey from developing GHG inventories, identifying decarbonisation opportunities, and setting relevant decarbonisation targets underpinned by clear and achievable roadmaps. She has particular experience in the private markets sector, supporting investors and their portfolios to understand their climate impacts and build plans to reduce those impacts with a focus on value creation and value protection. Her sector experience spans consumer goods, food and beverage, technology, mining, transport, real-estate, and services.  

Zara has acted as a contributing expert to global GHG standards and guidance, including iCi Guidance on GHG Accounting and Reporting for the Private Equity sector and iCi Guidance for GHG Accounting in the Software Sector. She was also invited by the WBCSD to deliver training on Scope 3 accounting as part of the SOS 1.5 Climate Action Programme.

In 2025, Zara became one of the first 45 experts in the world to be certified by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
