CBAM Reporting Support for Motala Sign Nordic AB

The Situation

Motala Sign Nordic AB is a Swedish importer and distributor of aluminium and steel signs and displays. Under the EU’s CBAM obligations, Motala Sign Nordic AB were required to monitor and report embedded emissions associated with imported CBAM goods from outside the EU.

Motala Sign Nordic contacted Anthesis for support with their reporting obligations and to gain insight into the financial risks associated with their reporting obligations.

Our solutions

Anthesis collected data from all of Motala’s non-EU CBAM goods suppliers.

As part of the supplier engagement process, Anthesis provided Motala suppliers with step-by-step instructions for data collection and reporting, as well as 1:1 support, and reviewed all data submissions before integration.

The Anthesis Compliance Suite compiled all CBAM reporting data into XML files to upload to the CBAM Transitional Registry, for all periods of the transitional phase (Q4 2023 to Q4 2025).

Impacts of the project

Motala Sign Nordic AB was able to submit complete and compliant CBAM reports, gained insights into its current exposure to CBAM to support its strategic response to the regulation, and was able to complete the registration as a CBAM declarant.

CBAM was a significant challenge, but Anthesis supported us throughout the entire process and helped us achieve full compliance. Their expertise, user-friendly tools, and clear guidance made the journey manageable and gave us valuable insight into both regulatory requirements and associated costs. The collaboration was seamless, and we would gladly recommend Anthesis to others.
