Past and present members of the Product Sustainability Round Table, a community of cross-industry sustainability experts and thought leaders from companies that champion sustainability. Members collaborate on benchmarking and best practice through sessions conducted via our dedicated Anthesis Client Network.
Benchmarking helps to build stronger businesses. Done well, it can inform new strategies, products or services, identify vulnerabilities and trends, and improve market resilience and performance.
Growing consumer demands and the increasing impacts of climate change are making benchmarking more and more important.
We lead clients through a benchmarking assessment that covers best practice not only in sustainability, but also economic, social and ethical imperatives.
Our Customer, Competitor and Market Insights and Benchmarking services
We benchmark clients’ business performance and that of selected competitors on a comprehensive set of leading practices in environmental and social sustainability programs. We also assess how clients and their competitors are communicating the impacts and benefits of sustainability.
These are explained within the context of wider economic, environmental and social trends, such as climate change, urbanisation, income equality and access to natural resources, highlighting the risks and opportunities that may arise.
How we do it
- Defining objectives – we turn your goals and aspirations for the benchmarking process into tangible objectives.
- Identifying comparison groups – we work with you to determine the most applicable peers or industry-leading organisations inside and outside your sector on which to base our research, considering brands, geography and size.
- Researching best practice – we use desktop research and stakeholder engagement to find examples of best practice that could make a measurable impact for clients, always making sure our recommendations are achievable.
- Presenting the business case – we present a strong business case for change to your leadership team, laying out the findings from our research in a report that is easy to understand.
After evaluating your benchmark assessment, you can begin to strategise your carbon and GHG strategies.
