Tim is based in London and co-leads Anthesis’ Transactions & Sustainable Finance service line globally. The team supports financial institutions in developing and implementing the Responsible Investment and ESG management and reporting programs which allow them to meet their sustainability ambitions and regulatory obligations, and in doing so, protect and create value in their investment portfolios. The team also provides M&A due diligence support, covering both Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and ESG assessments, and works directly with portfolio companies post-acquisition to deliver performance improvements.

Tim has 30 years of experience in environmental and sustainability consulting, starting in waste minimisation and management and EIA before moving into M&A and wider transactional support. In transactions, Tim has over 25 years of experience, starting with traditional risks around “end-of-pipe” compliance, contamination and other legacy issues, before broadening into wider sustainability topics. Tim was an early mover into ESG, advising on the topic for over 10 years.

Tim is proud member of UK Private Capital’s (formerly the BVCA) Sustainability Committee and Value Creation Taskforce and was a co-author of the iCI sponsored SBTi Private Equity Sector Science-Based Target Guidance. He is ranked by Chambers and Partners for Environmental, Social & Governance Risk.
